At Cochran & Mann, we feel fortunate to be surrounded by a wonderful community. Over the past 30 years, we’ve gotten to work with a variety of incredible people on a variety of incredible projects. We always look for ways to give back to that community, whether it’s financial, materials, or our time.

How the Paint Industry Gives Back

Every year, we look for projects that allow us to pay it forward to the community that has supported us for 30 years. Sometimes that includes donating to charities such as DSNMC Down Syndrome Network, Frederick Health, and Junior Achievement. For example, in 2019, we donated materials to The Samaritan Inn, which provides housing and recovery services to the homeless. We also look to take on projects with high impact on various parts of the community, such as students, children, and athletes.

Above all, we work with organizations that align with our principles. For 30 years, Cochran & Mann has ensured that all our projects are done with transparency, reliability, responsiveness, craftsmanship, and loyalty. We always strive to partner with vendors and organizations who agree with those core values.

We are also excited to announce that we've renewed our commitment to Frederick Health for another 5 years with a donation of $10,000. The work they're doing is essential to our community and we're thrilled with our partnership with them.

Boys and Girls Club

Cochran & Mann was proud to partner with DAVIS Construction on renovating the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington (BGCGW) headquarters. Over 30 partners took part in this $1 million pro bono project to refresh the space. The project included a complete gutting and repainting of the 5,000-square-foot headquarters.

The renovations specifically focused on updating the space for the staff at the BGCGW headquarters. Our team was honored to support the excellent men and women who give so much to the kids in the area. With the help of our vendors, who generously donated materials for the renovations, we created a safe, comfortable space for the staff members.

Public Recreational Facility Aquatic Center

Cochran & Mann teamed up with Forrester Construction to build the Public Recreational Facility Aquatic Center at The Southern Regional Technology and Recreation Complex. Spaces at this facility include a suspended indoor track, rock climbing wall, multipurpose rooms, kitchens, classrooms, and now an indoor swimming pool.

The Cochran & Mann team painted the exposed structure over the entire indoor swimming pool. The project also included painting the administrative areas, locker rooms, and mechanical support areas. As a result, we were able to help deliver a beautiful space that allows adults and children alike to relax, exercise, learn to swim, and get their splash on!

Towson University Science Complex

Cochran & Mann assisted Whiting-Turner Contracting Corporation in the construction of Towson University Science Complex. It includes 50 classrooms, a planetarium, an observatory, rooftop greenhouse, vivarium, 50 teaching labs, 30 research labs, eight lecture halls, ten collaborative student spaces, and faculty offices.

Our team was in charge of painting all the space in the five-story facility. As a result, we overcame the challenges posed by the pandemic to deliver a beautiful, state-of-the-art building on time. The new Science Complex’s updated technology and research space will inspire young minds to become the next leaders in STEM industries.

PBS Offices

Cochran & Mann participated in the renovation of the PBS offices in Arlington County. We were proud to work on a project for one of the most prominent public broadcasters and program distributors. The renovation included 5.5 floors of office space (130,000sf) with board rooms, conference rooms, huddle rooms, team rooms, and collaboration areas. Despite the obstacles posed by the pandemic, we were able to aid in the delivery of a truly one-of-a-kind space.

Finding the Right Partners

After 30 years of experience, we are always looking for new ways to give back to the community that supports us. Our vendors share common values of transparency, reliability, responsiveness, craftsmanship, and loyalty. We continue to strive to uphold those cherished standards and collaborate with more organizations in the same fashion.

Ready to work with the team that gets it done right the first time?
