Dutch's Daughter's current location was built in 1999. The 30,000 SF state-of-the-art facility features kitchens on both the 2nd and 3rd floors and 4 private dining rooms on the upper level, designed to accommodate 20 to 300 guests.
The original commercial contractor, Dustin Construction, returned in 2023 to bring a new phase of the fine dining establishment to life. Responsible for securing the other contractors on the project, Dustin Construction chose Cochran & Mann for the painting needs.
The Dutch's Daughter expansion involved enclosing the outdoor patio to create extra interior dining space in the "Dutch's Dungeon." Subsequently, an opportunity arose to establish an outdoor rooftop area on the expansion's roof. This alfresco dining space showcases a stunning gazebo bar. The architects at Fitzgerald Architects drafted the plans.
Cherish the Challenge with the Commercial Painting Contractor
Cochran & Mann was excited to participate in this project as we are patrons of Dutch's Daughter, specifically for our annual Holiday Party. As the restaurant was still in operation during construction, our team took extra care to provide our clients with a quick turn-around and disruption-free experience.
Cochran & Mann used Sherwin Williams Interior ProMar200 paint for the interior portion of the expansion. This paint is designed with improved hide, exceptional durability, and the ability for seamless touch-ups. These features make it well-suited for a restaurant setting where frequent cleaning and maintenance might be necessary.
For the exterior railing, exposed steel, and frames, Sherwin William Pro Industrial™ Pro-Cryl® Primer and DTM Acrylic Coatings were the products of choice. This high-performing primer and acrylic coating are excellent rust inhibitors and ensure longevity for exterior finishes against the elements.
These choices indicate a thoughtful selection process by Cochran & Mann to ensure durability, quality, and appropriate protection for both interior and exterior surfaces for Dutch's Daughter Restaurant.
A specific challenge for the Dutch's Daughter expansion project was matching the original exterior and interior paint and finishes. Under the guidance of Cochran & Mann's Senior Project Manager, Tom Shoemaker, the client's vision seamlessly came to life, and colors, textures, and finishes were matched precisely.
